Admission Requirements

We offer three intakes every year for our programmes: January, May, and September. This approach offers greater flexibility for students, enabling them to commence their studies at a time that suits their individual circumstances. Our admission standards are set in accordance with the Maldives National Qualification Framework (MNQF), which is outlined by the Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA).

Our admission standards are carefully reviewed and approved by the College Council and Academic Senate, ensuring that ensuring that they are fair, transparent, and consistent. Attainment of a Level 4 qualification in a related field

Attainment of a level 4 foundation study program approved for the specific Diploma program

Completion of a Level 4 qualification (unrelated) and successful completion of an MQA approved UPP programme

20yrs old, completion of secondary school, 2 years of relevant work experience and successful completion of an MQA approved UPP
Level 7 / Bachelor’s / Bachelor’s Honours Degree

Successful completion of Higher Secondary Education

Attainment of a Level 4 qualification in a related field

Attainment of a level 4 foundation study program approved for the specific Diploma program

Level 8 / Post Graduate Certificate / Post Graduate Diploma

A related Bachelor’s Degree

25 years old, Completed a Level 5 qualification, 6 years experience (3 years of experience after completion of level 5 qualification) and achieve a pass rating from an interview/exam given by the institute.
OR
25 years old, Completed a level 6 qualification, 4 years experience (2 years of experience after completion of the level 6 qualification) and achieve a pass rating from an interview/exam given by the institute.
Level 9 / Masters Degree
General Entry Criteria
A related Bachelor’s Degree
OR
A related Graduate Diploma

25 years old, completed a Level 5 qualification, 7 years experience (3.5 years of experience after completion of the Diploma) and completion of an MQA approved Pre-Masters Programme
OR
25 years old, completed a level 6 qualification, 6 years experience (3 years of experience after completion of the level 6 qualification) and completion of an MQA approved Pre-Masters Programme

Our Academic Pathways

We offer a range of entrance pathways to provide students with flexible and accessible options for starting their academic journey. The general entry criteria are for students who meet the minimum academic requirements set by the Maldives National Qualification Framework. For students who do not meet these requirements, we offer a mature entry route, which is outlined in detail on the programme-specific pages. A summary of the general entry pathway is presented in the diagram below. Note: There might be some programmes from Universities that do not apply this pathway.
