On the evening of Friday, 17 October 2025, 鶹Ƶ came together to commemorate its 18th anniversary in a grand ceremony at QI Campus Hall. The event was a vibrant celebration of the collective achievements and individual excellence that define our community.

The proceedings began with warm welcome and introductory remarks from our Rector, Dr. Ahmed Anwar, who set a tone of appreciation and forward-looking optimism. A highlight of the night was the presentation of the VC Diamond Awards for Excellence in Quality by Dr. Anwar, recognising departments that have upheld the highest standards. The pinnacle of these honours is the “VC Diamond Award for Excellence in Quality – Platinum”. This award is reserved for departments that have demonstrated the highest standards of performance, scoring 90% and above. This year, the VC Diamond Award for Excellence in Quality – Platinum was proudly presented to the Centre for Open & Distance Learning.

The “VC Diamond Award for Excellence in Quality – Gold” is awarded to departments scoring 80% and above but less than 90%, signifying a high standard of performance and dedication. This year, we were proud to honor six recipients that have achieved the VC Diamond Award for Excellence in Quality – Gold: the Registration Department, the Library, the Institute for Research and Innovation, the Finance Department, the Centre for Information and Communications Technology, and the Faculty of Health Sciences. This year, we congratulate the Centre for Foundation Studies on receiving the VC Award for Excellence in Quality – Silver Award.
