On 30th May 2025, Â鶹ÊÓƵ Kulhudhuffushi Campus successfully conducted a Community Engagement Activity focused on empowering women through financial literacy. The workshop brought together members of the Kulhudhuffushi City Women’s Development Committee (WDC) and local women aged 25 to 45.
The core objective of the session was to enhance participants' understanding of budgeting, saving, and personal finance management. These essential skills are pivotal for building financial independence and fostering economic resilience. This initiative directly supports Â鶹ÊÓƵ's commitment to broader societal development, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1: No Poverty, specifically Target 1.3.4, which promotes training programs in financial management for low-income groups.
The workshop was expertly facilitated by Mr. Abdul Muhaimin, Manager of Ooredoo Maldives – Kulhudhuffushi Branch. Mr. Muhaimin delivered an engaging and informative session, providing valuable insights and practical knowledge on financial literacy.
Participants departed the workshop equipped with practical knowledge, enabling them to make more informed financial decisions and effectively plan for a more secure future. Â鶹ÊÓƵ believes that by empowering women with such skills, we contribute to the empowerment of entire communities.
