The guest lecture session was an eye-opening experience for our C4 Information Technology students, offering valuable insights into building a successful career in the ICT and Computer Science fields. The session was conducted by Mr. Hassan Irfan, Deputy Minister of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works, who shared his expertise and real-world experiences with the students. He emphasized that while education and experience both matter, experience often plays a key role in professional growth. Students gained a deeper understanding of the importance of continuous learning, applying practical skills in real-world situations, and exploring diverse areas within IT especially as AI continues to reshape the future of work. The session also covered how to find and secure IT jobs, explore different ways to earn through tech opportunities, and understand how businesses operate in the digital era.
It was equally inspiring to learn about cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, and the do’s and don’ts of career development in the ICT field. He also shared valuable guidance on which IT sectors are expected to grow or decline in demand and reminded students that failure is a powerful teacher that drives growth and resilience. Overall, it was a motivating and insightful session that encouraged students to gain experience, keep learning, and stay adaptable to succeed in the ever-evolving world of technology. Thank you, Mr. Hassan Irfan, for conducting a wonderful and inspiring session for our students.
