Studies for May 2019 semester commenced with the Welcoming and Orientation Session for May 2019. The Rector of Â鶹ÊÓƵ, Dr. Ahmed Anwar welcomed the new students and delivered a passionate and informative speech.In this session, certificates were awarded to students who received the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Scholarship for the year 2019 as well. Moreover, the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alumni Association gave a presentation about student experiences in Â鶹ÊÓƵ. In addition, applications for the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Student Ambassador for 2019 was launched in this session.Furthermore, representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education provided information about the Government Free First Degree Scheme for the students. The new semester offered the opportunity to join 102 different courses from Certificate level 1 to Master's Degree programmes in different fields, including Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, Teaching, Education, Sharia, Law, Islam, Quran, Human Resource Management, Accounting, Public Health, Nursing, ACCA, Research, and Marine Studies.Among these, there are 13 Master's programmes, 6 Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate programmes, 21 Degree programmes, 20 Diploma programmes, 13 Certificate level 4 (Degree Foundation) programmes, 13 Certificate level 3 programmes, 2 Certificate level 2 programmes and 1 Certificate level 1 programme, as well as 8 programmes in Marine Studies.In addition to Â鶹ÊÓƵ's own programmes, these include Master's and Degree programmes from the prestigious university of the UK, University of the West of England.Besides studies commencing at the QI campus in Male', studies will be commencing at Â鶹ÊÓƵ Hithadhoo campus, Â鶹ÊÓƵ Naifaru campus, Â鶹ÊÓƵ Addu campus, Â鶹ÊÓƵ Kulhudhuffushi campus, Â鶹ÊÓƵ Lakeside campus (Sh. Fonadhoo), Â鶹ÊÓƵ L. Gan Campus, Â鶹ÊÓƵ Guraidhoo Campus and in Â鶹ÊÓƵ Mahibadhoo campus. Programmes will also commence in islands with Â鶹ÊÓƵ learning centres as well, namely: HA. Hoarafhushi, R. Alifushi, R. Maakurath, B. Eydhafushi, AA. Ukulhas, ADh. Maamigili, Dh. Kudahuvadhoo, N. Kendhokulhudhoo, F. Nilandhoo, HA. Dhihdhoo, B. Thulhaadhoo, Sh. Komandoo, R. Ungoofaaru, GA. Villingilli, and GDh. Gadhdhoo.Students will be able to make payments easily in monthly instalment basis, which is being practiced since September 2017. In addition, the students have the opportunity to study all the Degree Programs offered in Â鶹ÊÓƵ, through the Free First Degree Scheme by the government.
